Architecture and urban eco-ecological architecture, or bioarchitecture, proposes to create new buildings, or transform existing ones with the least possible environmental impact, mainly through the use of local materials and/or natural. According to this approach, the buildings should prioritize natural ventilation and lighting, to be efficient in terms of energy, treat its own wastewater (sewage), provide comfort to users and insert themselves into the landscape in a positive, integrating concepts such as functional landscaping, drainage sustainable use of rain water, among others.
The ecological urbanism increases the scale of intervention of ecological architecture, seeking to enter the human communities, their buildings and transportation networks and supply in natural cycles, in a positive way for people and nature site.
